DPS

Also known as: Damage per second

Damage per second, or a character role focused on dealing damage.

DPS originally measures damage output over time. In team-based games it also names a role: the players whose main job is dealing damage, as opposed to tanks and healers.

Example
We have two tanks but only one DPS, so fights are taking forever.
